2025-26 Surge Awards Recap

The 2025-26 Surge Awards were hosted on Friday, March 27 at St. Lawrence College, honouring and celebrating the student-athletes’ efforts and accomplishments of the past season.

 

The night featured speeches from Manager of Athletics and Student Engagement, Kevin Biggs, President and CEO, Glenn Vollebregt, and for the first time at the awards, a 5th year graduating student-athlete.  After playing five years of St. Lawrence College rugby, working as a student-staff in the Athletics Department, and volunteering in various other college events and activities, Logan De Verteuil, was invited to say a few words on behalf of his experience.  His speech was as incredible testament to the impact, value, and overall experience of being a post-secondary student-athlete.

 

The night also featured special acknowledgement for student staff, provincial and national recognitions, team awards for varsity basketball, rugby, soccer, and volleyball, and was capped off by a series of major awards.  See below for the full list of recognitions, awards and recipients:
